Which junk can we eat sometimes??? How to choose from the world of junks if you must???
Biryani or bun kebab or kachori or naan or nihari or chapli kebab or halwa poori or falooda or kulfi or peshawari ice cream???
Choose from junk:
The junk which is around since decades, the junk which is native, the junk which is made in a traditional way without addition of deliberate ingredients to deteriorate health.
The point is, choose a junk if you must, that junk which is not introduced by multinational companies & the junk which is not foreign! Foreign to your soil, foreign to your mind, foreign to your eyes, foreign to your gut, foreign to your taste bud & most importantly foreign to your GRANDPARENTS!
Which junk not to choose???
Munching on foreign junk has (i) spiritual aspect: as in why buy anything from which a percentage might be used against Muslims? (ii) moral aspect: why not pay to the locals & contribute to uplifting country's situation? (iii) last but not the least health aspect: that stubborn fat, that nasty cough, that returning cold, that unbearable headache, receding gums, skin health, cancers, heart health etc??? why eat something that triggers health issues?
Don't deprive yourself from cherishing the present & flashing back to childhood memories!
Now that I make sugar-free immunity boosting falooda at home using sago, raw organic milk, tukhmbalanga, homemade choc, khoya, fruits & nuts...
But this type falooda is my childhood love & brings so much of memories...
Now that I make chakki aata buns & filling with homecrushed spices...serving with homemade ketchup & mayo...bit of yogurt chutnee...But thelay vala bun kebab ka apna maza hay!
