The 3 Color Lake – PART 2

….. continuing from The 3 ColorLake - A kid's story….

The girl kept calling for Dile, hoping that it would listen and come out to help. But it didn’t come out. Then the girl started thinking that what she should do? She was too afraid of water. Then she went to Floria's & Machlee's sides of lake and asked them again if they could help her negotiating with Dile. But both of them were just too afraid of Dile so they said that they could not do so. Then the girl went home hopelessly. At home, she told her mother that how she lost her ring and she thought that it must be in the Dile’s part of the lake if it was not in the other two parts. As her mother knew swimming & was not afraid of water, she requested her mother to go with her to the lake & search for the ring in the red part of the lake i.e. Dile’s part.

The Girl Learnt Swimming
Her mother told her that the girl should go herself into the lake. But the girl said to her mother that she could not swim as her mother already knew. Her mother said that she should learn swimming & overcome her fear of waters. Then the girl started learning swimming from her mother. Because she had the motivation of getting her ring back, so she learnt every day for 10 continuous days. Then she practiced for few more days & finally she had learnt good swimming.
After learning proper swimming, the girl went to the lake again. She first went to blue part where the dolphin named Machlee used to live & then she went to green part where the hippo named Floria used to live. The girl told both of them that she is not afraid of water any more. They both became very happy & wished her luck for finding her precious ring.

The Girl Got Her Ring
The girl went inside the red part of the lake where the crocodile named Dile used to live. She went slowly without making any noise. She saw that there were many red stones, red jewels, & the bed-sand was also red in that part. It was looking very beautiful. Now she was not feeling afraid of that part. She started searching for her ring. She couldn’t find anywhere. Then she saw that Dile was sleeping & there were many jewels stuck on it as well. Dile was almost covered with shinning jewelry.
The girl suddenly saw that her ring was stuck on the nose of Dile. She thought to call out Dile but then she didn’t. She took a long stick from the lake then slowly & without making any noise, she came a bit nearer to Dile. With the help of stick, she picked up her ring without touching the stick on Dile’s nose. Then she pulled the stick back & got her ring. She slowly came out of there and told Floria & Machlee about her ring. They both were happy. She went home & her mother was also very happy.

Enjoy by the Lake!
Next day the girl & her mother came to the lake with lots of delicious eating stuff for Floria & Machlee. Then all of them enjoyed by the lake. The girl and her mother swam in the lake with Floria & Machlee. Then they went home happily.

WHAT WE LEARN FROM THE STORY?

The 3 Color Lake - A kids' story

Once there was a girl. She liked to do power full things like hiking, wall climbing, running, and horse riding. But she didn’t use to like swimming or diving because she was afraid of water. One day she was on a hiking trip. She was hiking for hours and then she was near the peak of a small mountain. As she watched down the mountain to see how high she is, suddenly her ring got off her finger and dropped down. The ring that she was wearing was the birthday gift from her mom so it was a special ring. She tried to hold it but it was too late and the ring dropped deep down into a 3 color lake. The lake was blue, green, and red.

The 3 color lake

The girl started coming down the mountain, as she wanted to get her ring. It took hours before she could reach the lake in which her ring was dropped. When she reached the lake, she saw that the lake was of 3 colors, means there were three parts of the lake. One part was blue, other was green and the third was red. She came near the blue part first and saw that the water was very fresh and clean that is why that part was blue. She called out for someone as she didn’t know swimming so she could not go herself inside the lake. From the blue part of the lake, a dolphin whose name was Machlee took out her head. The girl asked Machlee if it could help her finding her ring. Machlee was nice so it went back into the lake but after sometime it came out and told the girl that there is no ring in her blue part of the lake.

Machlee, the dolphin

Then the girl went to the green part of the lake and saw that there were too many weeds and plants that is why that part was green. She called out for someone, then a hippopotamus named Floria came out. Floria was also nice so it searched for the girl’s ring but couldn’t find it. Then the girl asked Machlee & Floria to find her ring in the red part but they told that the red part belongs to a crocodile named Dile and it was very mean so they couldn’t go to red part. The girl went to red part of the lake and saw that there were many red rocks in that part that is why that part was red. She called out for someone for help but no one came out and the girl understood that Dile must be mean that is why it was not coming to help her.

Then the girl didn’t cry as she was a brave girl. But she thought that if she had learnt swimming she could have gone in the red part of the lake to get her ring herself and she didn’t have to ask anyone to help her to find her ring. Only if she knew swimming. So she thought and thought that what to do? She couldn’t let her ring go so easily because it was a birthday present after all. But she was stuck. Dile was not coming out to help her and she couldn’t go into the lake herself as she was afraid of water.

The alligator yelled, “What happened blue fish? You’re bleeding.” The blue fish said, “Ouch it’s hurting.” Then it started to weep. The alligator saw that there was a tiny thorn in the mouth of blue fish. Actually there were some fisher men fishing near there. A fisherman attached the bait with a hook. The tip of the hook had a small shiny blue stone attached with it to attract the fish. When the blue fish took the shiny blue stone in its mouth, the fishing hook stuck in its mouth. The fisherman started to pull the fish as soon as he felt that a fish has stuck in his fishing hook.

The alligator quickly cut the fishing line with its sharp teeth. Then very gently alligator tried to pull the fishing hook out of the mouth of blue fish. After trying few times the fishing hook came out but the blue shiny stone that was at the tip of fishing line was still in the mouth of blue fish, then alligator rubbed the mouth of tiny blue fish. Finally the blood stopped. The blue fish was very happy that it got the shiny blue stone again. The alligator was also happy that it's time paid off.

The blue fish yelled, leave me alone you meanie. Then it opened its eyes and saw it was in the clutches of a big scary alligator. It said to alligator, "Let me go alligator, I have very less meat lesser than you need." The alligator said, "Don't worry blue fish I won’t eat you. May be I could but I’m not hungry at the moment. I have been watching you from far and I noticed that you are searching something. What are you looking for?" Still scared, the blue fish said, “I am searching for my blue stone that was in my mouth when I was sleeping and now it’s lost.” The alligator said, “Don’t worry little blue fish I can help you finding your blue stone”. The blue fished said, “Really.”

Then both of them started searching for the blue stone near the coral reef. They searched and searched but in vain. Then alligator told the blue fish that they should ask someone may be some other fish has seen the shiny blue stone. So they stared asking other fish if they have seen the shiny blue stone. Other tiny fish were getting afraid from alligator but when the blue fish told them that alligator was its friend then other fish didn’t get scared.

The alligator and the blue fish asked the sea horse but the sea horse said that it didn’t know where the blue stone is. Then they asked the star fish and it also replied in negative. Then they went to the surface of the ocean. There was an island and there were seagulls sitting there. The seagulls were about to dive into the ocean to eat the blue fish but when they saw the alligator was accompanying the blue fish then they got scared. The blue fish and the alligator asked the seagulls if they had seen the shiny blue stone but they answered in negative.

All of a sudden, the blue fish noticed some shiny blue thing far away. It started swimming fast towards it. The alligator was swimming along with it. Then it went near that shiny blue thing and it realized that it was a shiny blue stone similar to the stone it had yesterday. So the blue fish hastily put the blue stone in its mouth. Out of the blue, there was pain in its mouth and its mouth started bleeding.
