5 Points to Consider Before You Choose a Fitness Program - PART 1

1. Self-motivation or infiltrated motivation for workout

First thing is to remember that you have to choose a fitness program just for yourself. If you are doing it to make someone happy, or to look smarter in a party, or to look slim on an occasion of yours, or to look most gorgeous among a bunch of people on a particular day then don’t choose any fitness program. All these mean that you don’t have a self-motivation of being healthy. These all come in the category of infiltrated motivation. Your body can feel healthy even after few minutes of workout, which you have done for yourself and not for any one. Remember that when you take care of yourself, you can take care of loved ones even better.
If you choose to do exercise for your mind freshness, body trimming, releasing stress, longevity, bone & joint health, lowering your anxiety levels, becoming happy then you are ready to opt for a fitness program.  

Ask yourself:

Is the exercise enthusiasm coming from within you?
Are you working hard for a fresh & well-being of yourself?
Are you doing it for someone or for an occasion?



2. Long term objectives of workout

You may choose a workout that is most challenging, most popular, and is blooming out in the city. However, you should know what your fitness objectives are. Choose a workout that you can potentially stick to for the rest of your life. Go for a fitness plan that you can follow through with your responsibilities & everyday business. Go for a plan that is enjoyable and you don’t get tensed before, during or after every set & rep of every exercise. Long term objective is that you stay healthy & happy via your fitness. Getting slimmest, the next month is short term objective which has acute side effects. Incorporating exercise with your lifestyle & don’t let go is a long term objective.

Ask yourself:

What are your fitness goals?
Is the workout synchronized with your long term goals?
Does the workout go along with your lifestyle, responsibilities, & daily schedule? 


3. Competing with others in terms of weight loss 

Competitions don’t leave you in a happy and sane state of mind. Exercise can relief you from fatigue & anxiety. If you are doing it in competition with someone you can lose the pleasures of exercise. To get the maximum benefits of exercise, to tone your body, to improve your body & mind health you must be happy during and after exercise. Competitions tense you more & make you happy less.
If you are racing to reach the finish line first, you are not enjoying along with your workout. If you are a part of rat-race or a challenge that you have to loose fat the fastest among a bunch of people, you can regain fat the fastest as well… Beware of sick days, exam days, party days, shopping days, outing days, lazy days, busy days, stressed out days, mayday days etc. when obviously you can’t workout...and all the fat returns faster than you lost it!
Do it at your own pace!

Ask yourself:

Can you do this work out for the rest of your life?
Are you part of a rat-race?
Are you in competition with someone in terms of your smartness or slimness?
Does this workout relieve you from stress?

6 Tips for a Confident Swim

Be confident
First and fore most things to be a confident swimmer are to relax & don’t get afraid of water. Stay confident that yes I can do it. Motivation of doing a better swim should come from within instead of others telling you to give it a go and they will help you if you need. You should be positive about yourself that you won’t need help. Keep your body and muscles relax and tension free.  


Know your best style
Many beginners try various styles in a single day resulting in getting tired and not being able to swim actually. Once you have learnt the techniques of few swim styles, try figuring out that which works best for you. Free style might be good for a person, for other butterfly stroke might be better. You might swim comfortably with breaststroke and you can get over exhausted with backstroke. It’s all up to you how you dig out your style and champion it.  You have to try styles that you have learnt while your swimming lessons, then understand that which style is giving you most confidence and you can cover longer distance with that style. Swim with that style more & try to master that one style. Your brain starts recognizing that style, resulting in a boosted confidence.

Breathe perfectly
Once you gain some confidence with a swim style of your choice, learn to inhale & exhale according to that style. Holding breath doesn’t ensure a relaxed & longer swim. Take a deep breath and when you start swimming, a stream of bubbles should come out of your nose or mouth. A perfect swimmer should be able to inhale from mouth and exhale from nose. When you take out your face of the water inhale from mouth, go back into the water and exhale from nose. This inhaling and exhaling delivers oxygen to your lungs & brain and you feel more comfortable. Breathing technique increases efficiency & stamina of your swim.

Synchronize your arms movement, kicking technique & breathing
Streamline your body by moving arms & legs in coordination with each other. If you are moving arms perfectly for a swim style but kicks are haphazard, you cannot swim powerfully. Similarly, moving arms not according to the kicking technique can lack focus and increase exertion. If your breathing is perfect but your body movements are poor, it’s all in vain. Also, if your swim technique is streamlined but you cannot breathe according to your swim style, you are not swimming in a relaxed manner. So focus! Focus on all these at the same time, and then you can enjoy your swim like never before. 



Let go of the ear plugs & nose clip
With nose clips you hold breath that causes a less relaxed body. Being able to breathe you can swim longer & faster without getting exhausted too soon.  Have you ever seen any swim athlete with these accessories? Relying on these accessories won’t give you a lasting water stay. Besides, imagine you are swimming in the middle of the pool and suddenly your ear plug falls off or your nose clip breaks then what you would do if you can’t swim without these?  

Challenge yourself
Remember that no swim coach or friend can make you understand the swimming. What they can do is to teach you. Understanding arises from within you then you need to embed that understanding into your brain via practicing. Give yourself a tough task. Knowing that what the level of your understanding yesterday was, keep trying and keep it up today! Today you are blessed that you are in the pool again. Don’t let go that blessing!

Match Making


Match making these days has very strong commercial aspects. I remember those days when people are interactive and social at human level. People met with each other very often and in these meeting elder people decide about the marriage of youngsters sometime in very early stages. Of course love stories remain constant in history and present. However, nowadays elder people have no longer any role. Lower /middle class Parent of girls have no option except waiting for any proposal even their daughter are well educated. Other than these parents there are one group of parent who access match maker .After contacting these match maker one long game started. Girl dress up glamorously and present herself in front of different parties sent by match maker. Sometimes girls parent refuse and sometime opposite party rejection is seen. If boy is from England /Dubai…. then the protocol is really different. Now marriages are not relation among two families or person .It is very pity now marriages are relation of profession. So what the hell is this? I have no words to express this emerging trend of my society have you?

Is the Sun Heading for a Gigantic Collision?

In 1632 Galileo who was an astronomer, a mathematician, & a philosopher proposed that the Earth is moving around the Sun and the Sun is stationary.

Fast forward in twenty’ 12, NASA’s astronomers found out that four billion years from now, our galaxy i.e. the Milky Way Galaxy will collide with its yet known, neighboring Andromeda Galaxy. Due to that collision, these both galaxies might merge to form one elliptical shaped galaxy. Wow…



How the Milky Way Galaxy will collide with another galaxy?
There is mutual gravitational pull between these galaxies which is unstoppable and is far beyond the imagination of mankind. These galaxies are moving towards each other at incredible speed, a speed that man can’t fathom. It’s uncontrollable & mighty. As for us, we humans are but spectators, researchers, wonderers, & wanderers. If the Milky Way Galaxy, the galaxy where exist mankind is moving, means every tiny to huge object present in the galaxy is also moving. Stars, the sun, the earth & the moon, the planets, & debris present are on the move. Where we are heading to? Collision? How can I, I mankind can make this collision a pleasant one?        

The sun’s orbit:
It is also discovered that the sun with in the Milky Way Galaxy, completes its one orbit around the center of galaxy in 250million years. Meaning that sun moves along an orbit with in the galaxy as well. The galaxy itself is moving and the sun is also moving with the galaxy towards the Andromeda galaxy. The sun is stationary if we take it relatively to our solar system, but out there in the cosmos, the position of sun keeps changing.

Solar system’s tail?
The tail of solar system clearly shows that it’s on a move and its heading to somewhere. I i.e. mankind, I wonder…there are so many wonders, yet I wander...




Where the sun is heading to?
Where the sun is heading to we have to go along … we want or not … the question of want to or not gets faded or actually finishes here…as it’s not in under our control…we cannot separate ourselves from the solar system…..to be happy to go along with sun we have to understand where the sun is heading to?


Sun is but one tiny star out there in the cosmos!
There exist about 100 billion galaxies in the cosmos known to mankind yet; the Milky Way is one among them. The biggest galaxy known to mankind is IC 1101 which is 50 times the size of our galaxy. The Milky Way Galaxy is itself a dot in the known cosmos. There exist billions of stars in the Milky Way, Sun is but one among them. Who am I, I mankind? I am tiny, infinitesimally small, and smaller than a teeny weeny dot. No matter who I am - engineer, doctor, billionaire, speaker, the sun is heading to where it’s heading to. I cannot change that. Should I just head with this galaxy where it’s heading to, and continue my daily fruitless chores? Stay stuck in petty things?
